Before Your Treatment
To prep for your Botox/Dysport appointment, avoid anything that thins the blood (Vitamin E, aspirin, ibuprofen, or other NSAIDs) for 7 days beforehand.
If you’re planning for a big event — a wedding, photos, a vacation — schedule injections at least 4 weeks ahead for ideal results and time for any swelling or refinement.
Please inform us of any updates to your medical history, health changes, or lifestyle factors that may affect treatment. And if you’re feeling under the weather, kindly reschedule at least 24 hours in advance.
Day of Treatment
Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face. You may bring makeup for later, but we strongly recommend skipping it for several hours post-treatment.
Expect multiple tiny injections and mild discomfort. Temporary redness, swelling (mosquito-bite-like), or light bruising is normal.
If you notice unusual swelling, discoloration, or bleeding, contact us right away.
Avoid strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, or anything that raises your heart rate for the rest of the day to prevent product migration.
After Your Treatment
Do not rub, press, or massage the treated areas for 24 hours. Cleanse gently and use light pressure applying skincare or makeup.
Avoid facials, Clarisonic devices, lying face-down (massage tables, chiropractic cradles), or anything that puts pressure on your forehead for 24 hours.
Stay upright — no lying down — for 4 hours after injections to reduce the risk of eyelid drooping.
If you were treated in the upper face, avoid headbands or hats that press across the forehead.
For bruising, a cool compress can help.
Headache is the most common side effect; Tylenol is safe. If you use prescription headache medication, follow your doctor’s guidance.
You’ll also receive a post-care email after your visit with everything you need to know.
